A Muskogee man was killed when his tractor overturned Friday evening in Cherokee County. It happened at 8:20 p.m. on private property in the 32000 block of South Cookson Bluff Road in Park Hill.

David Andrew Reifsteck was operating a John Deere tractor, brush hogging on a slight incline, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The bucket of the tractor struck a stump, causing the tractor to roll one and three-quarters time, coming to rest on its side.

Reifsteck, 64, was pinned underneath the tractor for 20 minutes. He was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel, according to a trooper's report.

The Muskogee man was in apparently normal condition before the wreck.
