OKC Man Arrested For Assaulting A Turtle

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police arrest a metro man for assaulting a turtle.

Neighbors in Southwest Oklahoma City apparently called police after seeing Derrick Peace pick up the tortoise and throw it into the street. It landed with so much force, it's shell cracked.

Police say the turtle was taken to the Oklahoma City Zoo so it could recover.

Peace faces an animal cruelty charge.
