Thunder GM Sam Presti Wraps Up 2012 Season

Now that the 2011-12 NBA season is over, team offices and officials rev up the intensity and focus for the next season.

Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti met with the media to wrap up the past season and give insight into what the Thunder are moving towards next season.

Presti thanked the ownership group as well as the fans and in particular the state of Oklahoma for all their support and hard work throughout the last year.

"If we could shake everybody's hand that was at an airport when we arrived, we sincerely would. Those people are incredibly passionate about our team and we're incredibly passionate about them and in Oklahoma City that matters," Presti said.

Some of the high points he emphasized were the continuation of building the organization into a more established franchise by focusing on the details of how the team plans on achieving its goals instead of what they do to continue to get better.

"This organization has to be thinking about how we do things and not pointing to what we need to do. It's important for us to understand that every year is unique and that the year we had was fantastic but we need to turn the page and take a builders mentality to next season and understand that the only thing we are entitled to is the same number of days to improve as everyone else in the NBA."
