NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Norman Police say they have captured the third person suspected of burglary Friday afternoon.

Police arrived on scene to a burglary in progress in the 2900 block of Hanover Dr. There they apprehended two suspects, but another managed to elude officers.

Police were able to apprehend the third suspect after about an hour-long search. They did not say where they made the arrest.

Still no word on the identities of the first two suspects in custody.

After making the arrests, Norman Police released the following statement.

"About 1:40 this afternoon, the department received a report of suspicious activity from an observant resident in the 2900 block of Hanover Drive in Norman."

"Police officers responded and discovered a burglary of a residence in progress and suspects fleeing the area on foot and in a vehicle.  With assistance from Oklahoma Highway Patrol, District 21 Task Force officers, and numerous citizens, officers managed to arrest four persons suspected of committing the crime--three males and one female—and recovered property believed to have3 been taken from a residence at 2904 Hanover Drive."

"At a minimum, the arrested individuals face potential changes for Burglary II, since the residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident.  The department is not releasing the identities of the individuals arrested at present because our investigation is on going (sic) and none of the suspects have been booked into jail or formally charged."

Norman police say they also arrested a fifth suspect in the case at about 5:50 p.m. Friday. His identity is unknown at this point.
