OKLAHOMA CITY -- A driver was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning after a one-car crash near N.W. 23rd Street and Meridian in Oklahoma City.

Investigators say the vehicle was speeding eastbound on N.W. 23rd Street, and rolled over several times just east of the Meridian intersection.

Police say alcohol and excessive speed may have played a role in the crash. The driver, who police say is a middle-aged woman, was taken to the hospital with very serious injuries. Police say a younger male passenger was caught after running away from the scene of the crash. One officer said he appeared to be intoxicated.
