More than 50 years after a Shawnee man lost his wallet, it showed up on his doorstep, giving him and his wife a trip back to their high school days.

Staff members at Shawnee's Hornbeck and Penthouse Theater spotted the wallet while doing renovations to the facility.

Bailey McDaniel says everything was intact expect for a few dollars from a payday back in 1959. Everything from his driver's license to pictures of his wife to his draft registration card are still in the wallet.

He even kept a newspaper clipping about his basketball star girlfriend who's now his wife of 52 years.

"I figured I'd never see that again so it was quite a surprise, it really was," McDaniel said.

The McDaniels say they are happy to revisit some memories from the early days of their life together.
