At the intersection of S.W. 30th and Klein, you can see the white marks on the street, showing where the boyfriend was dragged by the car and then where his body ended up. This all happened in front of his brother's house, and the family is shocked and devastated.

The family says 26-year-old Uriel Ontiveros had been dating 26-year-old Maria Rodriguez for about a year.

"They were always fighting. Won't be fighting no more," Estevan Davela said.

Estevan Favela is Ontiveros' cousin and says the family had been trying to get the two to break things off, especially since Rodriguez was married. They never dreamed it would end like this.

"We feel bad our cousin and his brother," Favela said.

Family members say the brother heard the two fighting early Sunday morning about 6 a.m. and told them to cut it out. Next thing he knew, police were knocking on his door, saying Ontiveros was lying in the street badly hurt.

"When they arrived, they found the man severely injured with significant trauma, he's transported to OU medical center where he was taken into surgery and eventually died," said Msgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police arrested Maria Rodriguez at her home, which is located about ten blocks away from where Ontiveros was found. Now his cousin is trying to do what he can to help the family.

"Well we are trying to collect some money for sending him to Mexico...need help," Favela said.

Family members are putting jars at nearby stores and restaurants to try to collect the money to send Ontiveros body back to his family in Mexico, so that he can be buried there. But the family is still reeling.

No one was home at the Rodriguez house. We checked and this is her first run in with the law.

Rodriguez is being held without bond on a second degree murder complaint.
