From The Fan Cave: Meeting Baseball’s Best Never Gets Old

NEW YORK CITY--As always, this week in the Fan Cave was tremendous and inspiring, but I have to brag on my state for a bit before I update you on what went down here.
I can safely say that I have never been more proud of my state as I was when the Oklahoma City Thunder clinched the Western Conference title. The outpouring of support from every corner of our state for our team was overwhelming. It is like we have all witnessed our state coming together behind an entity that is representing all of us so well. Regardless of what happens in the next round, it is good to feel like our state and our city can be known for something incredibly positive.
Now this week was a ton of fun in the Cave! Here is a quick rundown of all of the people we met:
-Dennis Eckersley (Hall of Fame pitcher)
-Matt Kemp (Oklahoma Native, Dodgers)
-Robinson Cano (Yankees)
-Curtis Granderson (Yankees)
-Nick Swisher (Yankees)
-Matt Joyce (Rays)
-Kirt Niewenhuis (Mets)
-Carlos Correa (MLB #1 Draft pick – Astros)
-Andrew Heaney (Oklahoma Native, MLB #9 Draft pick – Marlins)
-Gavin Cecchini (MLB #12 Draft pick – Mets)
-Courtney Hawkins (MLB #13 Draft pick – White Sox)
-Clint Coulter (MLB #27 Draft pick – Brewers)
-Colin Hanks (Actor, Tom Hanks' son)
Unfortunately, no St. Louis Cardinals came by while they were in NYC for their only trip this season, but at least the Cave Dwellers and I made this funny video of us trying to get them here!
We know that there will be at least one more elimination before the All Star Game in Kansas City. So make sure to get the vote out! (share this link!)
