Thunder fans across the metro are "Thundering Up" in all sorts of interesting ways. And the pastor of the Midwest City Nazarene Church is taking things beyond the orange and blue. He's even caught the attention of Thunder star James Harden.

"The great men of the bible had beards too. Fear the beard," Pastor Nate Cook read the message on the marquee at his church.

Now it is a message that's going viral.

"Church signs annoy me sometimes because they seem angry or full of hate," said Cook.

This church pastor says the people in church are no different from anyone else and aren't here to judge.

"We're normal folks. I sit in love loud city cause I'm a pastor and I yell from up there, but we love Jesus."

The Bible man and Texas fan has had a few references to sports in his sermons, but he says this sign has gotten him more attention than any of his previous ones.

"I think there's a misperception of who's behind these walls. And sometimes I wonder if people even look at this thing when they drive by. I guess they do."

And someone tweeted out a picture of the sign to James Harden, who in turn sent it back out to thousands of his followers on Twitter.

"Started out in the Nazarene community, then I started getting all these texts," Cook said.

"I just want to say to our community, we love our community and we're with them and the people who go here are normal people who love and watch games."

Cook says he was at a church camp during the game last night and missed it as it aired live. But he recorded it and says he and the more than 300 campers watched it and celebrated into the early morning.
