Oklahoma City police arrested 20-year-old Charles Whitlow after he and the baby boy's mother took the critically-injured child to Deaconess Hospital Monday night.

"I gave my dead baby mouth to mouth. That won't ever go away from my memory. I'm just scared and I'm sorry. I just didn't know someone could feel like this and it just hurts," said Meagan Hinson, the baby's mother.

According to the police report, officers received a call from a nurse who reported baby Corbin had a bruise on his right temple and bite mark on his forearm. Hinson told police baby Corbin was fine, but fussy, when she picked him up. She told police she left Whitlow alone with their baby while she showered. She said she heard the baby crying during her shower, but didn't think anything was seriously wrong.

"I just came out of the shower and he was gone, he was dead." When asked about her ex-boyfriend she cried and stated, "He is a very good person he just goes through his own things," she said.

Hinson told police the baby had not fallen recently. After speaking to both the mother and Whitlow investigators arrested the 20-year old father on child abuse charges. Whitlow could face additional charges if the baby doesn't survive.

The mother told police the baby had not fallen recently. After speaking to both the mother and Whitlow, police arrested the 20-year-old man on a complaint of injury to a child. Police said he could face more serious charges.
