The Cleveland County Sheriff's deputies arrested three men Saturday who are suspected of stealing copper from a business in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Deputies arrested 37-year-old Richard McDaniel of Norman, 41-year-old Hugh Webb of Tecumseh, and 41-year-old Larry Joe Parnell of Shawnee. They were booked into the F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center on complaints of pattern of criminal offenses, larceny of copper, and knowingly receiving and concealing stolen property.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Saturday morning, about 100 pounds of copper wiring were reported stolen from Windstream Communications, located in the 23000 block of Okay Road in Tecumseh.

An employee with the company said he had identified where the stolen cable was located. Technical assets helped identify that the copper was at an address in the 1330 block of 192nd Avenue NE in Norman.

Deputies say they saw McDaniel, Webb, and Parnell burning trash when they arrived at that address. Investigators questioned the men and found evidence of copper theft in plain view, according to the Sheriff's office.

Deputies arrested the suspects and transported them to jail.

Investigators say the copper was worth an estimated value between $250 and $350.
