The New Orleans Zephyrs scored six runs with two outs in the top of the ninth to put the game out of reach, and took a wild one from the Oklahoma City RedHawks, 12-7.

The game featured 29 hits and 19 runs, but the RedHawks also had four errors for the game, as OKC lost consecutive games for the first time since May 18-19 at Reno.

It was the one through five hitters that did most of the damage for New Orleans. Those spots in the batting order combined to go 12-25 with 12 RBIs., highlighted by Nick Green going 4-6 with two RBIs and a triple.

Jimmy Paredes went 4-6 with two RBIs to pace the Oklahoma City offense.

The scoring started early, and was fast and furious throughout the entire game. The RedHawks scored three in the first, but the Zephyrs countered with three of their own in the top of the second. OKC retook the lead with a run in the bottom half of the frame.

New Orleans tied the score at six in the sixth inning, with a sacrifice fly by Gil Velazquez, but a J.B. Shuck single scored Angel Sanchez to claim the lead once again for the RedHawks in the second half of the sixth inning.

Jose Valdez took the loss for the RedHawks, giving up all six runs in the top of the ninth on five hits and a walk. Rob Delaney got the win for New Orleans, his second of the season out of the bullpen.

The marathon game lasted just over four hours, with both teams using a combined total of 11 pitchers.

The series finale between the two teams will be tomorrow evening at 6:05 p.m., with the RedHawks looking to salvage a split with the Zephyrs.
