The Oklahoma City RedHawks saw their 9-game winning streak come to an end Friday night, in a 6-1 loss to the New Orleans Zephyrs.

New Orleans first baseman Gaby Sanchez went 4-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Zephyrs. Sanchez hit a three-run home run in the first inning to give New Orleans a lead they would not relinquish.

Scott Moore and Brandon Barnes each went 2-4 to pace the RedHawks.

Alex Sanabia went seven innings to get the win on the mound for the Zephyrs, giving up just five hits and one run. Aneury Rodriguez took the loss for OKC. Rodriguez lasted five innings, but gave up four runs on four hits, and also walked four batters.

New Orleans got off to a quick start, with Kevin Mattison and Scott Cousins walking before Sanchez came up and homered to centerfield.

The RedHawks got a run back in the bottom of the fourth when Scott Moore doubled in Jimmy Paredes, after Paredes tripled to lead off the inning, but that's all the offense the RedHawks would generate for the night.

The Zephyrs tacked on a single run in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings for the final margin.

The loss was the RedHawks' first since dropping an 11-9 decision at Albuquerque on May 28. The RedHawks saw their 14-game home winning streak come to an end as well. The last time OKC lost at home was May 9 against Las Vegas. The 14-game streak was a franchise record.

The RedHawks are back in action on Saturday for game three of a four game set with New Orleans. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
