Police Catch Kidnapping Suspect In Southwest OKC

Police officers from Oklahoma City, Warr Acres and Santa Fe tracked down a man accused of kidnapping a woman he knew at gunpoint.

Police say 34-year-old Kevin Lavar Thompson assaulted the victim Friday morning with a firearm then forced her into a car. Witnesses called police and officers pursued the suspect.

The chase ended at a convenience store at S.W. 94th Street and Western. Police say Thompson jumped out of the car and ran away, but officers caught him and placed him under arrest.

Police say the victim is shaken up but okay. They say the kidnapping was related to a domestic situation.
