Bricktown Booms With Thunder Fans After Series Clinching Victory

Thunder fans all still riding high from the Oklahoma City becoming the Western Conference Champs with a win over the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night.

The Thunder is now headed to the NBA finals and will face either the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat. Fans were out late Wednesday night, celebrating and grabbing their championship gear.

The players were out too. If you were anywhere near Bricktown you could hear the excitement for sure.

Downtown streets were dripping with rain-soaked fans. All of them celebrating in Bricktown or Chesapeake Arena long after the game had ended, pumped about the win.

And for two girls outside Mickey Mantle's, they are probably still catching their breath after seeing their favorite Thunder players and getting a picture with Kevin Durant.

"Made us feel good cause we watch ‘em every game! I feel like if it were anyone else they wouldn't want to take their picture with us or waste their time," said one of the lucky girls.
