The Oklahoma State men's basketball team will be spending some time in the Caribbean this season, as they will be participating in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in November.

Tournament organizers made the announcement yesterday about the Cowboys' participation in the tournament, which will be played in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and will take place on Nov. 15, 16 and 18.

The first-round matchups have not been set, but the other schools competing in the tournament are Akron, Massachusetts, N.C. State, UNC-Asheville, Penn State, Providence and Tennessee.

The Cowboys finished the 2011-12 season at 15-18, and failed to make the NCAA tournament.

Oklahoma State is looking at a solid recruiting class coming in this season as well, led by two-time Texas Gatorade player of the year, Marcus Smart.

Smart, a 6'3 shooting guard from Flower Mound, Texas, was a McDonald's All-American, and the No. 1 shooting guard prospect in the country, according to ESPN.
