Sailor From Shawnee Killed In Afghanistan

The Department of Defense announced Sunday an Oklahoma sailor was killed in Afghanistan.

Hospitalman Eric D. Warren of Shawnee died Saturday, May 26. He was wounded when an improvised explosive device went off in the Sangin District of Helmand Province.

Warren was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, 1st Marine Division (Forward), I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) out of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
