Deadly Shooting In Southwest OKC Ruled Self-Defense

The suspect in a deadly shooting in southwest Oklahoma City will not be charged with murder.

Timothy Myers was arrested following the shooting death of 38-year-old Monnie Wayne James. However, Myers was only held for possession of a firearm.

Police say James was found shortly before noon on Monday, April 30, in the 900 block of S.W. 27th Street in front of a body shop.

The incident has now been ruled self-defense. Myers remains behind bars for possession of a firearm.
