The Oklahoma City Redhawks responded to Monday night's loss with a big night at the plate in a 9-5 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

The Redhawks produced 14 hits while starter Paul Clemens picked up the win in five innings to move OKC to 26-19 on the season.

Clemens picked up two quick outs in the bottom of the first before Colorado Springs third baseman Chris Nelson found a hole in center and sent a grounder rolling for a single. Andrew Brown followed with a double to left that scored Nelson for the game's first run. Hernan Iribarren stepped to the plate and sent a grounder to right for a single that brought Brown around to score giving the Sky Sox a quick 2-0 lead.

Oklahoma City got down to business in the second. Matt Heseman leadoff with a walk before Scott More singled to right putting two runners on with two out. After a quick visit on the mound, OKC's Brett Wallace took two free balls before blasting a home run ball to center field to score three runs and take the 3-2 advantage.

Both teams scored two runs in the third. OKC's Jimmy Paredes sent his fourth home run ball of the season out of the park to leadoff the frame. Fernando Martinez followed with a double to left and then scored two batters later to put OKC up 5-2.

The Sky Sox narrowed the game with two runs of their own. Brandon Roberts stole second and then was brought home when Chris Nelson doubled a ground ball to left field. One batter later he came around to score off Andrew Browns single but Colorado Springs still trailed 5-4.

The next three innings went scoreless until OKC struck again in the seventh. Jimmy Paredes started things off with a single to right and then he stole both second and third base. Hessman also drew a walk to put two on with one out. Scott Moore then rocketed a ball to center for a double that scored Paredes to make it 6-4.

But Colorado Springs refused to back down adding a run from Chad Tracy who came around the bases after leading off with double to keep the score close at 6-5.

In the final frame, OKC pounded the ball scoring three runs highlighted by Brad Snyder's two run homer to center that sealed the 9-5 win for the Redhawks.

Oklahoma City was paced by Brett Wallace who had three RBI on the night while Scott Moore was three-for-three with two RBI.

The Redhawks return to the diamond for game three of the four game series on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. in Colorado Springs.
