A one-vehicle crash claimed the life of a man from Caddo, Oklahoma, early Sunday morning. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say alcohol was a factor in the collision.

It happened at about 4:20 a.m. Sunday, on State Highway 78, about one mile north of Achille in Bryan County.

A 2002 Chevy Pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Gary Dewayne Bledsoe was northbound on Highway 78 when it ran off the roadway to the left. The truck then struck a culvert and rolled three quarter time, landing on its passenger side.

Bledsoe was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries suffered in the wreck. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Troopers say they did smell an odor of alcoholic beverage on Bledsoe. The cause of the crash has been listed as "DUI" in the OHP collision report.
