Oklahoma City police said a worker at a food distribution center tried to snag some spare ribs from a company truck.

On May 9, two supervisors from MBM, a foodservice distribution center located southeast of I-240 and I-35, saw one of the company's trucks parked at Crossroads Mall. The truck was not supposed to be there, so the men pulled into the parking lot to see what was going on.

The supervisors said they saw 46-year-old employee Terry Lee Moore loading two boxes of spare ribs worth about $160 into the trunk of a blue Hyundai. They approached Moore and asked what he was doing.

Moore told the supervisors he was putting the spare ribs into his daughter's car so she could drive the boxes back to the business and save time. The supervisors told police that didn't make any sense to them; and in addition, it was against company policy to transport merchandise in personal vehicles.

The supervisors called police. Moore was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of embezzlement.
