Two people were ejected from a vehicle when a car crashed and rolled in the off-ramp of Interstate 40 near Rockwell Avenue.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. in west Oklahoma City. Emergency medical crews rushed to help the victims.

Chasidy Kimmell, 35, died at the scene and the passenger in her vehicle, 34-year-old William Madriaga, was sent to the hospital with internal injuries.

Highway patrol troopers say the driver of the car, Kimmell, was speeding on westbound I-40 when she tried to exit from the inside lane at Rockwell.

According to the OHP collision report, Kimmell then lost control and the vehicle rolled several times. Kimmell and Madriaga were both thrown out of the car. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.
