The player I refuse to call "World Peace", Ron Artest, went on the Conan O'Brien show last night to talk about the dangerous cheap shot he hit the Thunder's James Harden with two weeks ago.

In typical Artest fashion there was no contrition, he sat there and tried to claim he was just celebrating his dunk and didn't even know he'd hurt anyone until he got to the locker room.

Then he had the gall to imply Harden always stick his chin out in front of opponents who've just dunked, and that he was faking his injury to help the Thunder.

"I didn't know he was really that hurt until the day after, because you know guys flop in the NBA, so you don't really know. I knew if I was to get some games, it would benefit Oklahoma, if they was to get me suspended and possibly for the playoffs knowing that we would play them," he said.

To his credit, Conan wasn't buying it and didn't let Artest off the hook.

This is who the guy is, and people who think a seven-game suspension was too much or appropriate are just wrong.

I say again, 14 times this guy's been suspended by the league, is there nothing you can do on the court that will get you kicked out of the league for good.

Apparently not.
