Edmond North Captures Eighth-Straight 6A Golf Title

The Huskies are this year's 6A Boys State Champions topping the competition by 27 shots.

The Edmond North Huskies blew out the competition to be crowned the 2012 6A Boys Golf Champions for their eighth-straight title.

The Huskies shot a 54-hole total of 894, beating rival Edmond Memorial (921) by 27 strokes in the tournament that was held at Stillwater's Karsten Creek.

Jenks High School came in third overall with a total score of 936 followed by Broken Arrow and Union in fifth.

Three strokes separated first place from fourth place. Edmond Santa Fe's Max McGreevy was crowned the individual 6A Boys Champion with a total score of 216.

Edmond North's Nick Heinen came in second just one shot behind McGreevy with a total of 217. Edmond Memorial's Taylor Moore finished in third place overall with a combined score of 218 and Edmond North's Hayden Wood rounded out the top four with a total score of 219 over the two day event.

Broken Arrow's Tate Williamson placed fifth individually with a total of 223 while Jenks' Brendon Jelley was one shot behind to come in sixth.
