One Caught, Another Sought In Okfuskee County Jail Break

Authorities in Okfuskee County caught one jail inmate and is looking for another after they climbed out a window of the jail late Monday and ran away.<br />

Authorities in Okfuskee County caught one jail inmate and is looking for another after they climbed out a window of the jail late Monday and ran away.

A third inmate was captured shortly after his escape.

The sheriff's office says Gerald Adams, 40, and Keith Smith, 45, both of Okemah escaped just after 9:30 p.m. Adams was caught Tuesday afternoon.

The third inmate, Tanner Hicks, 21, also of Okemah was apprehended outside of the jail.

Adams was in the jail facing charges of 1st degree burglary, robbery by force and fear and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Smith faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and eluding a police officer.

Hicks was being held on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic abuse and resisting an officer.

Smith was last seen on the east side of Okemah and is considered armed and dangerous.
