NEWALLA, Oklahoma -

Firefighters have extinguished a fire at an outbuilding in Newalla, Oklahoma. Fire officials say the building is a total loss.

Crews responded to the fire at around 4:30 p.m. Monday at 17335 34J Drive near S.E. 149th and Peebly in Newalla. Officials say a house is located right next to the outbuilding, but it was not damaged.

Fire officials say the fire caused about $35,000 in damage. The owner had been burning railroad ties the day before and the smoldering extended into that structure, according to firefighters.

No one was injured in the fire.
