Wynnewood And Coffeyville Refineries Under New Ownership

Carl Icahn is the new owner of the company which owns refineries in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Coffeyville, Kansas.

In an announcement Monday, Carl Icahn said with the purchase of over 48 million shares of common stock of CVR Energy, he now owns 63 percent of the company based in Sugar Land, Texas.

Along with the 70,000 barrel per day Wynnewood refinery and the 115,000 barrel per day Coffeyville refinery, CVR owns pipelines in Kansas, Oklahoma, western Missouri, southwestern Nebraska and Texas. Icahn says he wants to resell CVR.

Carl Icahn is Chairman of Icahn Enterprises, a diversified holding company.
