OKLAHOMA CITY -

An OG&E spokesperson says a snake slithered into a substation and knocked out power to 10,000 customers early Thursday morning.

Customers along Pennsylvania Avenue from N.W. 150th Street to Memorial lost power around 2 a.m. Thursday. The outage also affected some customers in Piedmont.

When OG&E workers went into the Lone Oak substation at N.W. 164th Street and Portland, they discovered a snake in the transformer.

Crews restored power to all customers by 4 a.m.
