Edmond police could only confirm there was a police report filed against Ervin Wyatt in October of 1998, the same time Tameka Birts said she told police about the alleged molestation.

Monday, Edmond Police investigators were trying to get in contact with Birts to get more information on her case.

Police also confirmed this was not the first time there have been allegations of sexual misconduct against Wyatt, including an incident in 2003. They added that no charges were ever filed against him prior to Friday's arrest, which came after a two month investigation.

"She reported that she was babysitting the children there at his home and she had stayed the night in light to the late hour that he arrived home," explained Officer James Hamm. "So she didn't have to drive home."

A police report shows the next morning, Wyatt allegedly "put his hands inside the victim's sweatpants." The victim told police she was "in shock and just sat there."

"She asked him to stop," said Hamm. "Told him those advances were unwarranted and then a short time later he left for work and she contacted us."

Tameka Birts alleged Wyatt also molested her 14 years ago when he was her track coach.

"He started making comments about my body," recalled Birts. "On one occasion he gave me a massage and got too close to some of my private areas."

Birts said it escalated from there.

"He was asking me to perform oral sex on him, he was asking to have sex with me, he actually performed oral sex on me," she said.

Scarred by the alleged attack, Birts explained it took years to move on but the memories are still fresh in her mind 14 years later.

"There was a lot of negative things that came from this and I just, I didn't want to be defeated," Birts said.

Birts took that attitude and became a counselor. She said she now helps other young victims heal from similar attacks.

Ervin Wyatt did not answer his door Monday afternoon and has not talked about allegations.
