OKC Police: Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Man Wanted For Escaping Custody

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man wanted in Oklahoma County for escaping from custody, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The police report says Aurelius Mays resisted arrest when officers tried to take him into custody. He had to be held down and sprayed with pepper spray.

Records show Mays has a long criminal history from drugs to DUI and burglary.

Mays was pulled over for a broken windshield.
