Police Identify Driver In High Speed Chase Through Warr Acres

Police in Warr Acres say they tried to stop the driver, William Goree, for an expired paper tag, but he sped off, leading them on about a 20-minute chase along Northwest Expressway.

A chase in Warr Acres ended with one person in custody.

Police in Warr Acres say they tried to stop the driver, William Goree, for an expired paper tag, but he sped off, leading them on about a 20-minute chase along Northwest Expressway.

The chase ended in a hotel parking lot at MacArthur Boulevard.

Officers say at one point, a female passenger bailed from the truck.

Police used a Taser on the driver after he refused to get out of the truck. He was then taken into custody.

Once he was in custody, officers did not find any weapons or drugs.
