Oklahoma City parents joined others from around the world in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record at Science Museum Oklahoma.

"The Great Cloth Diaper Change" took place Saturday at 262 locations in 15 countries, including Chile, Australia and Switzerland.

Event organizers hope to raise awareness of the benefits of cloth diapering.

"Every day, you know, more and more people are finding out about cloth diapering, and how easy it is, how simple it is, and how it's not like it was ten years ago," Elizabeth Pilgrim said.

Officials say 147 babies were changed in Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Organizers believe they're well on their way to break last year's world record of 5026 diapers changed simultaneously.
