Late-game heroics lifted the Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 5-2 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders Saturday, securing the Cowboys' second series win of the conference season.

Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the eighth with one out on the board, the Cowboys loaded the bases for Mark Ginther. The senior sent a triple to right field, scoring three and giving the Cowboys a two-run advantage.

Sawyer Saxon followed with a bunt single to third base, allowing Ginther to score and putting Oklahoma State ahead 5-2.

Chase Stevens (4-4) benefited from the late push and picked up a win, pitching just 1.2 innings without allowing a hit and striking out two. Shane Broyles (2-2) was credited with a loss, giving up four hits and three earned runs in just one inning of service.

Oklahoma State will go for its second sweep of the conference season at 1 p.m. Sunday before a mid-week Bedlam matchup.
