The Oklahoma State offense was potent Sunday, as the Cowgirls pulled of a sweep of the Iowa State Cyclones 7-6 in eight innings and 10-6, pulling off the series sweep.

In the first game, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls overcame a deficit to top the Cyclones in extra innings. Trailing 6-5 in the top of the sixth, Shelby Davis hit a single and then followed by stealing second base to advance to scoring position. Kelsey Anchors followed by singling through the right side to bring Davis home and tie the game.

It was Davis once again in the bottom of the eighth, drawing a leadoff single and advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt. Tamara Brown brought her home in the next at-bat with a single up the middle, bringing Davis home to win the game.

Kat Espinosa (12-8) picked up a win, giving up six earned runs on 11 hits while striking out six in her eight innings of service. Tori Torrescano (7-19) pitched just two innings, giving up one earned run on four hits in the loss.

In the second game, it was a big fifth inning that put the Cowgirls on top of the Cyclones.

Leading 4-3 with no outs on the board, a pair of walks loaded the bases and Chelsea Garcia doubled to center field to bring Tamara Brown and Kelsey Anchors home to take a 6-3. Amy Graham doubled down the left field line in the next at-bat, bringing Garcia and Kelsey Schultz home to take a five-run advantage.

Morgan Hawkins (3-2) was credited with a win for the outing, giving up just four earned runs on six hits in her six innings of service. Lauren Kennewell (0-3) received a loss, allowing three earned runs on four hits in 1.2 innings pitched.

The Cowgirls will take four days off before their next matchup, taking on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
