More than a dozen gang members were carted to jail in a multi-city raid throughout the metro. News 9 was the only TV station in Oklahoma City to capture the raids on camera.

Police say the sweep involved several different agencies, and they were targeting one gang. Fourteen people are now behind bars after an early-morning rude awakening. News 9 was there, up close and personal as police put our tax dollars to work.

"I know they pulled one female down from the house butt naked," a neighbor who witnessed the raids told News 9.

At 6 a.m., while people were sleeping, authorities moved in. The raids took place as far north as Guthrie, through Oklahoma City and in Midwest City.

Oklahoma City Police say there was one arrest in Guthrie, two in Midwest City and 11 in Oklahoma City. Armed with assault rifles, police, ATF, FBI and the Sheriff's Office combined their forces for the mission. It was a united effort to take a major step in the ongoing investigations into the lives of some of the most hardened criminals.

"The investigation is years old. It's not something recent," MSgt. Gary Knight of Oklahoma City Police said.

Neighbors were left in shock after authorities converged on the area.

"I would have never have thought that would happen," one neighbor told News 9.

A law enforcement official tells News 9 that the targeted group is a prominent Hispanic gang with ties to Mexican drug cartels. Most of the gang members arrested will face charges of racketeering.
