45th Infantry Appreciation Day To Be Hosted At State Capitol

The Oklahoma Legislature will host some of Oklahoma's Finest during the annual 45th Infantry Division Appreciation Day Tuesday.

The ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. It's meant to pay tribute to sacrifices made by members of the 45th, especially during World War II and the Korean War.

In the past few years, it's expanded to include men and women currently serving in the Oklahoma National Guard.

This year, the families of 19 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen killed in Iraq and Afghanistan will be recognized as well.
