Funeral and memorial services were announced for longtime Oklahoma State Representative Sue Tibbs (R-Tulsa), who died Friday, April 6, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
She was 77.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Grace Church, 9610 South Garnett Road in Broken Arrow. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 South 129th East Avenue in Broken Arrow.
A public memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at the Oklahoma State Capitol Building, in the House Chamber.

Tibbs was serving Tulsa in District 23. She was a native Tulsan and a legislator for 12 years. She authored the recent House bill to restrict the sale of pseudoephedrine, which failed to pass a Senate vote in February.
She also hosted a Tuesday afternoon devotional at the Capitol.
Tibbs was a graduate of Central High School and Tulsa Junior College. She is survived by her spouse, Homer Tibbs, and their children Debra West and Elli Dodd.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Tibbs' name to either Free in Christ Ministries of Coweta or Family & Children's Services of Tulsa.
Funeral arrangements are by Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow.
