A soldier stationed at Fort Sill will spend the next decade behind bars for child abuse against his baby girl.

The U.S. Attorney's office says Kevin Hill pleaded guilty and said he beat his 5-month-old daughter last year while at his home on post.

Hill admitted he slapped the child, shook and threw her down and even sat on top of her which caused her to stop breathing.

Hill said he did all of this while his wife was performing army field exercises.

The little girl had a fractured skull and permanent brain damage.

Hill has been deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan. He blames the abuse on post traumatic stress disorder.
