RedHawks Open 2012 Season In OKC Thursday Night

It's the 15th season of baseball in Bricktown with the Redhawks taking on the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m. The game is expected to have a sellout crowd.

The Oklahoma City RedHawks will open the 2012 Pacific Coast League season at Newcastle Field in Bricktown Thursday. It's the 15th season of baseball in Bricktown with the Redhawks taking on the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m. The game is expected to have a sellout crowd.

Emma Youngblood, a 17-year-old from Norman, Oklahoma, won The Oklahoman/Oklahoma City RedHawks National Anthem Auditions and will perform The Star-Spangled Banner before the first pitch.

The Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard will present the colors, and following the National Anthem, a flyover will feature an E-3 Sentry from the 552 Air Control Wing at Tinker Air Force Base.

RedHawks Opening Night ticket prices are $5 for outfield lawn, $9 for third base terrace, $11 for bleachers and $17 for field seats. In addition, Thursday night is the first of only six Taco Bell Friends and Family Nights of the 2012 season, featuring $31 of value for $7.25 per person in groups of 10 or more.

Opening Night tickets are still available through Ticketmaster, or through the RedHawks Ticket Office at 405-218-1000.
