Durant Picks Up Second-Straight Player Of The Month Award

Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant has been named the Western Conference Player of the Month, his second such honor of the year.

Thunder star Kevin Durant has earned the Western Conference Player of the Month award for games played in the month of March—his second such award this season.

Durant helped Oklahoma City to an 11-5 record on the month while ranking second in the league in scoring with 27.6 points per game.

The 6'9 forward netted at least 20 points in 15 contests and tallied 30 points in five occasions. He added averages of 8.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists, and recorded three double-doubles.

March 1 @ Orlando: Had 38 points and eight rebounds in a 1005-102 win at Orlando.

March 21 vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Recorded 32 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals in a 114-91 home victory against the Clippers.

March 29 vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Registered a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 102-93 win over the Lakers.

Paul Pierce received the same player of the month award for the Eastern Conference. Pierce led the Celtics to a 12-5 month, averaging 22.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
