Ninth-inning heroics gave the Oklahoma Sooners a 3-2 win Sunday, securing the series victory over the Kansas State Wildcats.

Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth with one out on the board, the Sooners bats went to work. With a runner on base, Code Reine pinch hit and the move paid off for the Sooners, as the senior tripled to center field, bringing Hunter Lockwood home to tie the game.

In the next at-bat, Eric Mistich came in as a pinch hitter as well, hitting a single to center field to score Reine home and end the game.

Steven Okert (4-3) was credited with a win for the outing, giving up just two hits and striking out three batters in two innings of service. Nate Williams (0-2) was credited with his second loss of the season, giving up two earned runs on three hits in 1.1 innings pitched.

The Sooners will be back in action at 4 p.m. Thursday as the head to College Station, Texas for a three-game series against Texas A&M.
