Oklahoma City Police arrested a Texas man on two counts of sexual battery for an incident that took place at an apartment complex on south Shartel Ave., March 26.

Police say 28-year-old Lee Collins knocked on the door of two different women's homes attempting to solicit magazine subscriptions.

The first woman told police said Collins continuously tried to invite himself inside and ask for money to help him take care of his twin 6-year-old daughters. Afraid, the woman said she gave Collins about three dollars in quarters. The woman then said Collins gave her a hug and while his arms were wrapped around her, one of his hands went down her back and touched her buttocks.

After the hug, Collins left and the woman called police. While responding to the first call, police noticed a man fitting the description of the suspect at the door of another home. As officers went to interview the first woman, they saw the suspect give the second woman a hug across the street.

One officer went to speak to Collins and the other went to speak with the second woman.

The second woman told police the same story, that Collins solicited her for a magazine subscription, gave her a hug and touched her buttocks.

Collins told police that the money the first woman gave him was for a drink and that if he made inappropriate contact with either woman that it was accidental and due to a medical issue with his shoulder. Collins also told police that he had been in a situation like this before in Berkeley, California and it "worked out".

Collins was booked in the Oklahoma County Jail on the two battery charges. Officers found a magnum condom and a pornographic DVD in his possession.
