Fight Between Friends Ends With Shooting In Southeast OKC

A man is battling for his life while Oklahoma City police search for the person who shot him.

Police say two friends began arguing just after midnight Wednesday in the driveway of a home near S.E. 54th Street and Sunnylane. One man pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting Tavaris Thomas at least twice. The suspect then ran away.

Thomas was rushed to a nearby hospital. He's in critical condition but is expected to recover.

Investigators know the shooter's identity, but have not released his name and are still trying to locate him. They ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Oklahoma City police.
