Police say Antonio Ash was driving a stolen SUV when police tried to pull him over for what they say was a routine traffic stop.

According to police, Ash sped away and led police on a 20-minute-long chase down several residential streets. Police stop sticks caused the SUV to get a flat tire.

Ash dashed away, but was caught a short time later.

Curtis Harris saw it come to an end.

"I know he's somebody's son, and I hate to see that, because he's hurting somebody you know," Harris said.

Ash is charged with vehicle theft and felony eluding police.
