Fire Destroys Edmond Home

EDMOND, Oklahoma -

A home in Edmond was destroyed by fire Saturday.

The fire started around noon in the 800 block of Old Bugle. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the house.

Part of the home collapsed and News 9 is told the house will have to be torn down.

The owners were not home at the time. EMT's tried to revive the family dog, but it did not survive.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
