Undercover Sex Sting Lands Stillwater Man In Jail

An undercover sex sting operation by the Canadian County Sheriff's Computer Crime Unit landed a Stillwater man behind bars.

Stephen Sloan, 30, was arrested Friday evening at a movie theatre in Yukon on child-sex predator charges. Sloan had been communicating online with an undercover investigator posing as a 15-year-old girl for the past several days, according to authorities.

Canadian County Sheriff Randall Edwards said the investigator was approached by Sloan only minutes after he went online posing as the girl. Sloan immediately began talking about having explicit sex with what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.

"He was wanting to meet this girl and a friend of hers, also 15 year of age, to have group sex with the two of them and take pictures of the girls having sex with each other," Sheriff Edwards said.

The investigator agreed to meet Sloan at a movie theater in Yukon Friday evening. As Sloan arrived just after 7 p.m., he was immediately taken into custody and was transported to the Canadian County Jail.

Sloan will be arraigned on Monday and his bond will be set by a judge in the District Court.
