Oklahoma City Police continue to investigate Wednesday night's domestic violence assault in Yukon that they say nearly was another case of murder-suicide in the metro.

Officers were called to 300 block of Point Parkway Blvd. in reference to a domestic stabbing around 10:20 p.m.

A 29-year-old woman was found outside the apartment still alive and her husband was found stabbed inside.

"There was a locked door. When they went into this bathroom they found a second individual, a man, we believe is this woman's husband," said police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow.

Police say two children were at the home when the domestic violence happened. They believe the husband beat his wife and stabbed her, then turned the knife on himself, committing suicide.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital and the kids were taken into DHS care. At last check the woman was listed in serious condition.

If you or someone you know are the victim of domestic abuse, there is a 24 hour hotline victims can call for information and safety options. That number is 1-800-522-SAFE.
