NORMAN, Oklahoma – The tough times continued for the Sooners in a loss that was almost identical to the previous day.

Once again, Texas brought the offense early and often in a 9-4 win over OU on Sunday in Norman.

The Longhorns took Saturday's game 9-5 and Friday's game 7-6, sweeping the Big 12 series opener with Oklahoma.

But the Sooners' current losing streak extends back further than just the start of this series. OU has now lost five games in a row with defeats at the hands of Oregon State and Dallas Baptist heading into this series.

OU didn't get a run across the plate until the sixth inning on Sunday, but by that time it was basically too late.

Texas had already racked up five runs in the same span, scoring in six different innings throughout the game.

Steven Okert got the loss for OU in the game, throwing just 1.2 innings and giving up five hits and two earned runs.

Parker French picked up the win for Texas and John Curtiss got the save.

Oklahoma starts Big 12 play 0-3 after the weekend and fell to 11-9 overall.

The Sooners will host Air Force at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
