Suspect arrested in fatal Tulsa home invasion
TULSA, Oklahoma - Police say an 85-year-old Tulsa woman who was brutally beaten during an apparent home invasion has died. Authorities have also named a suspect, who has been arrested.
Tulsa police Sgt. Dave Walker says Nancy Strait died at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Her husband, Bob Strait, remains in serious condition and police say it's uncertain whether he will survive.
The couple's daughter found them unresponsive in their home Wednesday. The Tulsa World reports (http://is.gd/jdNMB3) that police arrested 19-year-old Tyrone Dale David Woodfork on a murder complaint after the couple's stolen car was found.
Investigators suspect that there were multiple robbers and do not think they knew the couple. Police say Bob Strait was shot in the face with a BB gun during the attack.
The investigation is continuing.
