An Oklahoma City man was arrested for animal cruelty after police found an extremely malnourished horse on his property Tuesday.

An Oklahoma City man was arrested for animal cruelty after police found an extremely malnourished horse on his property Tuesday.

Franklin Plumley, 30, faces several animal cruelty charges. Police say officers found a white horse on his property, located in the 11000 block of Knoll Ridge Lane. The horse was extremely malnourished and dehydrated.

The horse also had an open wound on one of its legs, according to the arrest report. It was lying down and unable to stand as officers arrived.

Plumley was then taken into custody and was transported to Oklahoma County Jail.
